About
Commercial commissioned for Acer Fashion (AFS)'s Barcelona suitcase product launch. A 1-minute ad composed of footages 100% generated by GenAI video models.
Background & Role
AFS approached us with a brief targeting early-to-mid-career female professionals. Working within a core team of three, I led the story pitch and art direction, and directed the final cut of the commercial.

Leveraging the expansive nature of contemporary GenAI models while strategically avoiding the challenges of long-term contextual consistency, we designed the narrative as a series of short vignettes. These 'memory snapshots' borrow from the language of fashion cinematography, utilizing quick cuts, B-roll aesthetics, and constant kinetic energy to present the suitcase as a vessel for memories in motion.

Footage Generation
During the four weeks of the project, we've experienced drastic improvements in the field of applied GenAI tools. The primary challenge was maintaining the physical integrity of the suitcase across shots. Before the release of video models capable of processing reference objects, we utilized image-editing models such as GPT Image, FLUX Kontext, and Qwen from ComfyUI, eventually migrating to Nanobanana. The final cut represents a hybrid workflow from some of our internal tools, blending outputs from WAN 2.2 and the Veo suite.
Post Production
To combat the 'artificial smoothness' typical of AI-generated footage, we simulated halation effects and film grain overlays. These filmic textures provide an optical blur and tangible grit to low-detail surfaces, grounding the digital output in a more organic, cinematic reality.
